The First Dance

My words, my thoughts, my truth...

I don’t need to see you, to know you’re there,
Our unspoken connection, you can taste in the air.
I spy you in the corner, a smile on your face,
Your eyes are on me, no one else in the place.
You reach me at the bar, place your hands on my hips,
No floor show for you, just a brush of your lips.
You ask me to dance, I politely decline,
I’d rather be the wallflower and just drink my wine.
You ignore my refusal and lead the way,

Dancing for you, is like dirty foreplay.
Women try to cut in, they want you too,
I think I’ll lose you tonight… then out of the blue.
You pull me in close I can feel your intention,
Not to be crude, but it’s hard not to mention.
Your body moves with mine, at once we’re in sync,
severely intoxicated but, not from the drink.
Take me home I murmur, I want you alone,
I’m hungry for you now, like a dog with a bone.
You don’t need telling twice, quick as a flash,
We’re at the cab rank, after stopping for cash.
We bundle in the backseat, the nerves kicking in,
Forgive me father, for now I shall sin.
